I'm not a total ...
I'm not a total vegetarian, but try to eat less meat and watch what I eat in terms of agrobusiness. I must admist that if I had to kill it and dress it, I would be a total vegetarian. I guess that makes me hypocritical. I'm glad to let someone else do the killing.

Jesus (Yeshua) is ...
Jesus (Yeshua) is the Messiah!
According to God, we are all sinners, and the penalty is eternal death! The good news is that God loves us so much He sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins for us. Jesus was crucified and was buried, but God raised Him from the dead. Jesus is YHWH, the Lord God. Confess your sin to God and ask Him for forgiveness. Call upon and believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You will be forgiven and will inherit eternal life by believing in Jesus Christ.

Meat's necessary ...
Meat's necessary for health. The problem's that today the diet's based on too much meat.Meat should be eaten only once a week or so, and it's better to eat white meat or fish instead of red meat. We're omnivores, we shouldn't forget that. We've the brain we've because we ate meat and that helped us develop our capabilities.Today most animals are exploited to obtain meat, but the solution is easy, just by ecological meat and eggs. Also soya spoils the world, so eat as what u r and shut the up

Turning into ...
Turning into hunters probably mades us in what we are today. We do not need to eat al day long, and also in times of draught, we were able to survive. And we went from Africa to the north, because also in colder parts, there was enough food for us, because we were meateaters! That also is the reason why the bigger animals in Australien and America are extinct now: we suddendly came and hunted them down.

Chimpansees also ...
Chimpansees also eat meat. Wenn they have the possibility, they will kill small animals in groups, mostly the young of other apes. They also eat a lot of termites (you know, they use a stick for that), which gives them a lot of protein.

True, and the other ...
True, and the other interesting thing is that yoga was traditionally taught one on one, not in "classes" and workshops, it was a personal and intimate thing between a teacher and student.

The major focus came onto asana when it became apparent just how much money could be made by leveraging your time and teaching in multiples.

"Functional creep" as I call it is when slowly but surely the original purity of intent is broken down until it has been pretty much lost altogether.

I agree with cspace ...
I agree with cspace. It's to bad most of the Yoga taught here roots with him. At the time, (20's to 40's) yoga was in a sorry state in India. Under British rule yoga had become unpopular and many of the Yoga families disappeared. If you can find a Yoga studio not in the Krisnamacharya tradition go take classes. I've been lucky enough to find a Yoga Center like this with a teacher from India who come from a "Yoga" family. The differences are useful.

Well my personal ...
Well my personal views of course and it's sure hard to write a reasonable answer to your questions in such a short space but here is a question for you for a start....where did you get the word "shala" from ?

In short it's my view that Krisnamacharya started the ball rolling with the focus on gymnastics and it snowballed from there with the two main schools as you mentioned and to possibly a lesser degree with his son. As soon as they married these styles with the US dollar....well ???

I was curious about ...
I was curious about your contention that Krishnamacharya might be the father of "absolutely bastardised yoga gymnastics...", and wondered if you meant that the two schools that emanated from his shala - those of Iyengar and Jois - were a basterdised form of a more pure form of the practice. If indeed this is what you meant, I'd love to know what that form is (or was). Your implication is that Krishnamcharya himself is the source the denegration. Not defensive here - just hoping to dig deeper.
