In the yoga pose Down Dog, I can’t straighten my legs. Is it worth doing the pose consistently with bent legs?

Yoga teachers and people who can do Down Dog with straight legs.
Also, should feet be together or hip width apart?

Well, the pose is mostly about streching but, you also want to shift your weight into your heels. And, also i like to have my legs just a little farther than hip width apart, but thats just me.
