does anyone knows a video on youtube with yoga on it, or a website with yoga moves on it for my friend to do?
also if she did these moves evryday how much weight would u lose and in how long?
Well there are no free videos on the web but if you look up the word yoga on google you’ll find instructions for certain moves. I would tell you some but their hard to explain. Also if you go to a rex center or the gym you can always find yoga classes. Losing weight is really easy when you do yoga. Yoga can have you lose as much weight as you want depening on how long you do it. With yoga you also have to eat really healthy. Learn about eating junk food and making it healthy buy typing healthy and yummy food on google. You also have to warm up for about 30 minutes before and after yoga. It is a flexibility thing. It is great that you and your friend are trying to do yoga. I did it for 3 weeks and ate healthy and lost 13lbs. I do it all the time since, its good for you. I hope this helps.

Thank you guys for all your support.
I would strongly recommend Surya Namaskar (in English, ‘Sun Salutations’).
The pose sequence Patrick referred to in his answer may have been referring to are a section/sequence of asanas (poses) contained within Sun Salutations.
In my experience, the sequence for the poses he mentioned would be plank, Chaturanga Dandasana (often referred to as a ‘yoga push-up’), Upward dog, then back to Downward Dog.
You can find many sites, including demos on youtube, by doing web search on either phrase ‘Surya Namaskar’ or ‘Sun Salutations’.
Here’s just one: http://ashtangayoga.info/asana-vinyasa/surya-namaskara-a/index.html
Note there are quite a few variations to Surya Namaskar, so don’t be surprised to find pose sequences that differ slightly from one another.
I consider the sequence at above site to be the essential, core sequence.
You can add additional asanas at your discretion/liking.
Namaste’,

I find that holding your breath is very difficult while you are in a yoga pose. I want to know the right technique.
You should not hold your breath while in yoga asana. Breathe deeply, use Ujjayi breath.
Also it is very important to find a good yoga teacher, and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
Good luck : )

Please don’t go into details but just the most simple explanation of the postures. Could these postures probably cure back pain? Thank you.
YOGA AND BACK PAIN
Back pain, one of the common problems of present day, is caused due to the stress and tension in the muscles that support the spine. Sedentary lifestyle, stress, overuse or under use of the back, postural mistakes are unconscious triggers to the widespread problem of back pain. Regular exercise is a saving grace that brings relief to back pain.
A regular practice of yoga offers an effective cure for back pain. It has proven to be a safe and effective way to alleviate many forms of back pain and also prevent its recurring bouts.
Healing Benefits of Yoga
• Yoga strengthens muscle groups. Many postures in yoga strengthen the back and abdominal muscles and help the body maintain a proper upright posture and movement. When these muscles are well conditioned, it helps to offset back pain.
• Yoga eases lower back pain, by stretching and strengthening the muscles of the lower back. It increases blood circulation, which brings healing nutrients to the injured tissues.
• Yoga helps in proper body alignment and good posture, which helps maintain a natural curvature of the spine, that is crucial in avoiding lower back pain.
• Yoga increases the awareness of the body and keeps the body healthy and supple.
• Yoga incorporates stretching and relaxation, which reduces tension in stress carrying muscles.
Thus yoga is an excellent therapy for healing injured and sore back muscles, speeding time to recover from an injury and preventing reinjury. It also reduces the risk of disability due to back pain.
Backache strikes when the muscles are under fatigue, commonly at the neck or lumbar region (where most twisting, turning or bending occurs). Frequent backaches occur due to overstrained or overstretched muscles, improper sitting positions, stress, lumbar scoliosis and earlier injuries. Many conditions cause back pain and they can be treated with conscious and gentle yoga practice. However, all cases of back pain need to be evaluated by a medical expert for diagnosis and treatment.
These are the asanas (postures) that could cure your back pain with regular practice. (Please consult the Internet for the detailed descriptions.):
1. Pawan Mukta Asana (Wind Releasing Pose)
2. Bhujanga Asana (Cobra Pose)
3. Shalabna Asana (Locust Pose)
4. Uttanpada Asana (Raised-Feet Pose)
5. Ekpada Uttan Asana (One-Legged Raised Pose)
6. Rechaka-Puraka Pranayama (Expulsion-Filling In Pose)
7. Shava Asana (Corpse or Dead Pose)
Good luck to you.

i’m thinking of taking up yoga daily at home because i’ve heard it relaxes you?
what are the other benefits of doing yoga and what exactly is yoga?
what do i do?
thanks
Yoga is nothing but a practice to synchronize the actions of mind, breathing and bodily actions. yoga means union or synchronization. This helps relaxing the body, breathing functions and improve concentration of mind. You can take up yoga under the instruction and supervision of a trained person in yoga. Best wishes to you.

I have Lymphedema. lymphedema is not draining much especially around abdominal area. Are there any good yoga poses for lymphedema drainage? I go to yoga off and on but I’d like to try some good yoga poses on my break time during work.
Hi, My Daughter has Lymphangioma Aka Cystic Hygroma Aka Lymphatic Malformation.
I can give you lots of Tips for helping to drain the Lymph fluid that is collecting in your Abdomin.
The Big one you know which is exercising. But Yoga may not be doing enough for you. There are several reasons why a lymphedema occur in different people but most of the end results are the same.
You need to do muscle stretching exercises that are repetitive. Moving your Muscles help massage the Lymph Channels and propel the fluid through the chanels to the correct destination.
Doing Yoga part time is not nearly enough! But There is a safe and Fun alternative. Rebounding Aka Jumping on a trampoline or a resitant bouyant exercise ball.
Rebound Exercise has been known to:
Strengthen muscles, tendons and ligaments,
Help bones become mineralized, dense and strong,
Help develop balance and coordination,
Maintain Homeostasis,
Improve the flow of blood through the small blood vessels of the bones,
Increase the heart’s pumping power,
Increase lymphatic system circulation,
Improve efficiency of the immune system.
It helps you look better and feel better.
It gives you a sense of control of your overall health

I really want to do yoga but I don’t know any positions and i don’t want to buy a book/video/dvd yet.
Take my advice – spend a little bit of money and go attend an introductory course, doesn’t matter if its just for an hour.
It is not a good idea to just rely on pictures to start doing yoga for the first time. You will need the guidance, at least for a start.
